Deadspace is a Survival Horror game set with Sci-Fi themes. The game takes place inside a space ship where the character you play as must fight his way through the ship against alien lifeforms which have taken the lives of the other crew members and attempt to attack and slaughter you. The game is survival since you are traversing yourself through the ship and fighting off enemies as you look for some kind of help. The horror aspect comes from the alien creatures you encounter on the ship which tend to reveal themselves by scary introductions such as jump scares.
B) Outlining Game Plan
i) For my corridor I was planning on it appearing during the beginning of the game where the character has just found themselves in this situation and this corridor is down ahead near where the player spawns in the beginning of the game.
ii) The character is going to look around and discover whats inside the corridor and notice that the corridor has been slightly damaged. The character is also going to picking up the starter weapon for the game since this will be placed at the beginning of the game.
iii) This corridor is important because it acts as a key accentual to getting progress in the game by collecting the starter weapon for the game to traverse yourself and battle your way through the rest of the game, attacking the alien lifeforms aboard the ship.

These get used through the detail that gets put into these corridors and interiors. They are able to capture a Sci-Fi aesthetic and make it extremely believable even though near to no Space ships contain this high level technology. These get used because they are able to emote different feelings and add to the games atmosphere weather is be from adding splats of blood or by adding bright lights and comfortable design they can each be similar in design by through detail can convey very different emotions.

E) Possible Animation Techniques
i) Creating a first person point perspective in Maya is easier to do then from a Third person perspective since you obviously wouldn't have to create and animate a character from the angle of being behind them. To create natural movement with the camera in Maya when you have the camera moving in different directions make sure you also have the camera tilting in different ways, weather it be from the head bobbing up and down from when walking or have it look around while walking. Your head doesn't stay dead still when moving around so ensure you've got some natural head movements in that also.
ii) For when animating an object falling over you want to make sure you get down the key poses of the object being hit then falling down and then hitting the ground, which then Maya will smoothly create the motion in between the key positions. To start the object falling over just leave it as it is when standing straight or whatever its original position is.
Then make another key frame of the object being hit. Remember to do keyframes you go to the frame you want on the timelines, make the change or movement and then press the S key.

After that make a keyframe of the object off of it's original surface or in any case of it being on the floor already, make it close to hitting the ground.

And then finally a keyframe of the object hitting the ground or where its made to land. Make sure your frames are close together since its going to be a rather fast motion so don't length it out as if it was in slow motion, unless thats your intent.
